Microneedling, also known as percutaneous collagen induction therapy, is administered with a handheld, electrically powered, drum or pen-shaped device, with tiny needles that make precise, microscopic punctures in the skin. These “micro-injuries” do not leave scars; they help stimulate the skin to repair itself naturally through a process called dermal remodeling. A topical anesthetic cream is applied beforehand to help numb the area being treated. This process starts with inflammation, which stimulates the skin to produce new collagen (the elastic fibers that make skin tight, smooth, and youthful). Collagen levels in the skin decline with age, and new collagen can only be produced when the skin is in repair mode. Applied to the face, this treatment helps keep the skin smooth and firm. To achieve desired results, 3 to 5 monthly or biweekly treatments are recommended.

EXO|E Exosomes Step-by-Step

Step 1: D|TOX Pre-Treatment Serum

Application: Starting five (5) days before treatment, the serum should be applied to the whole face twice a day (morning & evening).

D|TOX helps cleanse and hydrate to prepare the skin for Microneedling.

Step 2: EXO|E In-Office Serum

Application: Apply entire content of the EXO|E syringe in the clinic.

EXO|E helps soothe dry skin associated with some esthetic procedures.

Step 3: RE|PAIR Post-Treatment Serum

Application: The serum should be applied to the whole face twice a day (morning & evening) for five (5) days post-treatment.

RE|PAIR helps restore and soothe dry skin following Microneedling.

Microneedling of the face can be booked as a single service (1 session), or in packages of 3 and 6 sessions, for optimal results. Treatments are recommended every 4 to 6 weeks. Further treatments may be recommended by the Provider or Esthetician.

  • 1 Week Before:

    • Avoid direct sun exposure & tanning beds.

    • Stop waxing, using depilatory creams, or electrolysis on the treatment area.

    • Discontinue any aesthetic treatments (chemical peels, lasers, microdermabrasion).

    5 Days Before:

    • Stop using topical retinoids (Retin-A, Retinol) and other Vitamin A products.

    • Discontinue exfoliating products and scrubs with acids (glycolic, salicylic, etc.).

    • Discontinue high-concentration Vitamin C serums.

    • Begin D|TOX Pre-Treatment Serum. Apply to the entire face twice a day for 5 days before appointment. Apply morning and night after using a gentle cleanser.

    Order of application: gentle cleanser, D|TOX Serum, moisturizer & SPF.

    NOTE: EXO|E is not recommended if you have a sensitivity to aloe vera.

  • First 72 Hours:

    • Avoid makeup to the treated areas for the first 72 Hours after treatment.

    Days 1-5:

    • Begin RE|PAIR Post-Treatment Serum. Apply to the entire face twice a day for 5 days after your appointment. Morning and night after using a gentle cleanser.

    Order of application: gentle cleanser, RE|PAIR Serum, moisturizer & SPF.

    Days 6-14:

    • Avoid sweating, chlorine, saunas, and steam baths.

    • Avoid shaving the treated areas.

    • Do not use exfoliating products or scrubs.

    • Avoid tanning beds and self-tanning products.

    • Do not use Vitamin A products (Retin-A, Retinol, Tazorac).

    Days 15-30:

    • Keep skin out of the sun. Use SPF and wear a hat.

    Let skin heal; do not pick, scratch or rub treated areas.
